Datum provides both computing power and storage capacity (Storage Node) to store network data in a decentralized way. The storage Node allows Datum to provide global data storage. Any entity that wishes to access user data can provide data based on appropriate requirements, either for free or for a fee.Each data in Datum network is marked with terms of use during encryption, in which case the user (data source) can control the data to be shared and used by others. Usage is controlled by DAT token smart contract. Datum clients empower users to control all their data and share them optionally or sell their data over the Datum network. Datum clients will be available for various platforms such as mobile and desktop, not only that the Datum platform is used on IOT devices, electric cars etc. to unlock the data values of these devices. In the first phase Datum client will be offered as a mobile app for iOS and Android.
